US Missions That Took Humans To The Moon

Apollo 11 - On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Edwin Aldrin Jr landed on the moon. Neil Armstrong was the first to step on the Moon.

Apollo 12 - A few months after Apollo 11, the Intrepid lander became the second module to land on the Moon.

Apollo 14 - The third Moon landing mission by the US took place on February 5, 1971. It was the first to land on Lunar highlands.

Apollo 15 - The fourth Moon landing mission took place in 1971. The mission focused on longer stays and scientific study.

Apollo 16 - The fifth Moon landing mission was successfully executed in 1972. The lander Orion descended on the Lunar highlands.

Apollo 17 - The last US mission to send humans to the Moon took place on December 11, 1972. For the first time, a scientist landed on the lunar surface.
