This is a common ocurence during dumping syndrome, in which food moves too quickly from stomach to the small intestine

It's also called rapid gastric emptying when the stomach empties too quickly and small intestine receives large amounts of poorly digested food

The condition usually affects people who have undergone surgery for their stomach or anywhere near the oesophagus

Most people with dumping syndrome develop symptoms, such as abdominal cramps and diarrhea, 10 to 30 minutes after eating

The first step in treating dumping syndrome is changing how you eat. Changes include eating smaller meals and limiting high-sugar foods

When severe symptoms don't respond to diet, medications might help. Surgery might be the last resort
