The candidates who are pursuing four year Bachelor's degree programme and are in their last semester may also apply for the UGC-NET

The candidates with a four-year Bachelor's degree programme are allowed to appear in any subject to pursue a PhD

Aspirants can pursue PhD irrespective of the discipline in which they have obtained the four-year bachelor's degree

UGC had announced earlier that NET scores could be used for admission to PhD programmes instead of entrance tests conducted by different universities
