A new study has suggested that a wives lose that loving feeling much faster than husbands in longer marriages

The participants included adults with different relationship timelines - from recently-engaged to married for decades

They were asked to record their feelings every 30 minutes for 10 days, followed by a questionnaire about love

Women who were married or engaged for more than three years reported feelings of love 55% less frequently than those in newer relationships

By contrast, men in same situation reported feelings of love 9% less frequently

The study also found women in long-term marriages engaged in doing chores and cooking, and raising children that impact spousal affection
