The recent turbulence on a Singapore Airlines flight on its way from London to Singapore has put a spotlight on the world's most unstable air routes

1.The most turbulent flight was the route from Santiago in Chile to Santa Cruz in Bolivia, according to the data

Turbulence on the Santiago-Santa Cruz route is generated by winds from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean flowing almost perpendicular to the Andes

2. Route between Almaty, in Kazakhstan, and the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, has been ranked second

3. At the third place is the route between Lanzhou, the capital city of northwest China's Gansu and Chengdu, the capital of southwestern China's Sichuan province
