Due to Tehelka case, companies scared of hiring women: Samajwadi Party leader

New Delhi: Mr Tejpal, 50, has been accused of sexually assaulting a younger colleague at a Goa hotel where the magazine had organised an event earlier this month. In his petition to the Delhi high court for anticipatory bail, Mr Tejpal alleged that the investigation against him is the result of "the wrath of the BJP" which is avenging earlier Tehelka exposes on some of its top leaders.

What can I comment on this; now this has become a regular incident. Every now and then this is happening. I think proper action should be taken. Let Goa police investigate this. A lot of top officials is now scared of having female assistants/colleagues.

Police can take suo moto action and start investigations. Maybe the woman may not come forward.The ball is in her court but the law is standing with her.

Tehelka's response to this matter is inadequate and shocking. Penance is no substitute for due process and penalty. Complainant has said that sexual assault has happened. Shocked that Tehelka is claiming complainant is fully satisfied, complainant has told us she is not satisfied.
