Narendra Modi in his blog described in detail his reactions to the 2002 riots in Gujarat that left more than 1,000 people dead, most of them Muslims. Mr Modi said the riots shattered him and his government reacted "more swiftly and decisively to the violence than ever done in the country."
This is just an attempt to try and burnish his image for the 2014 elections but this is not going to fly. No expression of remorse changes the reality that thousands of massacred. There has to be closure, justice. Lot of sanctimoniusness, humbug being propagated through a blog. This is an exercise in hypocrisy to say the least.
