Relations with Pak unaffected by leaks: US
Washington: The US has put up brave front, says its relationship with Pakistan is unaffected in the wake of the WikiLeaks expose in which top US diplomats are seen expressing serious doubts over Islamabad's sincerity in the war against terrorism.

"Our relations with Pakistan, with other countries are guided by our national interests and Pakistan's national interests. Those haven't changed by these revelations," the Sate Department spokesman P J Crowley said.

The State Department spokesperson said, "US has been in touch with WikiLeaks asking them to put a stop to further release of classified US diplomatic material."

"We also called, in an exchange of letters over the weekend, for WikiLeaks and Julian Assange to cease releasing this information which is a continuation of the crime which we believe occurred here in the United States. He has the power to do that. And that would be the most effective way to stop further compromise of this material and further damage to our national interests."

We are pursuing a strategic partnership with Pakistan because we face a common adversary. That doesn't change either, he said in response to a question at his daily news briefing. (With PTI inputs)
