London:
A schoolgirl who became pregnant aged just 11 has given birth to twin boys in Argentina, a media report said.
The girl, who was not named, gave birth just weeks after celebrating her 12th birthday, The Sun reported.
The babies were delivered through the Caesarean section five weeks premature.
The girl's family only became aware she was expecting when a teacher at her school became suspicious of her growing belly.
Police have launched a child abuse probe after the incident in Chilecito, Santa Fe, around 1,000 km from the capital Buenos Aires.
Officers have quizzed two boys aged 16 and 20 in connection with the pregnancy.
Authorities said the girl's mother's sister, aged just 14, also gave birth three months ago.
The news comes just after a girl aged nine delivered a daughter in Mexico.
Authorities are hunting for the baby's 17-year-old father after the girl fell pregnant aged just eight and gave birth last week, the Mirror daily reported.
The baby was born on January 27 in Mexico's western Jalisco state. Both the baby and mother were doing well, reports said.
