Mumbai:
Fourteen Indian sailors aboard a vessel, which was detained in Somalia since October last year, have been released.
"M V Jaikur-I, with the crew of 14 Indians, which had been detained in Mogadishu since October 2008 due to a commercial dispute between owners and other interested parties, has been released," a statement from the Director General of Shipping said in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The crew comprising 14 Indians, three Pakistanis, two Somalians, one Iraqi and one Filipino have been released, it said.
As per the information received from the Indian Embassy in Nairobi, all the Indian crew members were in good health, the statement said.
