15 gunned down at Mexico car wash

Mexico: For the third time in less than a week, there has been a mass killing in Mexico. This time, gunmen killed 15 people at a car wash along the Pacific coast-where drug violence has risen dramatically.

Witnesses say that gunmen in three vehicles drove up the car wash and simply started firing.

The motive is unclear - but officials suspect it was the work of organized crime. Most of the victims were recovering drug addicts, who worked at the car wash.

14 people were killed earlier in the week at a birthday party in the border city of Ciudad Juarez, and there was a shooting at a rehab center in Tijuana that killed 13 recovering addicts.

The three attacks do not appear to be related.

Such mass shooting have become increasingly common in Mexico --where drug-gang violence has surged in recent years.
