Quetta: At least 20 people were injured in a blast at a police checkpost in Khuzdar district of the Baluchistan province of Pakistan, police said.
The suspected militants had hurled a hand held bomb at the police checkpost on Chakar Khan road in Khuzdar town yesterday night, Police official, Majeed Marri said.
"At least 20 people including policemen have been injured in the blast and the condition of some of them is critical," he said. "The militants sped away on their motorcycle in the dark of the night after the attack," Marri added.
He said the blast also damaged the police checkpost. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast. However police suspect Baloch separatist groups behind the attack.
