An Indian was on Tuesday jailed for 14 months for his involvement in the December 8, 2013, riots in Singapore.
Chinnathambi Malesan, 23, a worker, became the 21st Indian to be convicted for the riots, The Straits Times reported.
Malesan was on his way to his dormitory Dec 8, 2013 when he saw a crowd of rioters pelting projectiles at a bus near Race Course Road. He joined them and also threw projectiles at the bus, the media report said.
The riots erupted after an Indian, Sakthivel Kumaravel, was run over by a bus.
The riots were the worst outbreak of violence in the country in over four decades.
