26/11: Pak submits charges against 5 accused

Islamabad:

Reports coming in from Pakistan suggest authorities have submitted charges against five people accused in the Mumbai attacks investigation in court.

The charges are in the form of a challan and were submitted in an anti-terrorism court. A formal chargesheet will be filed when the court reconvenes on July 25.

Among the five accused are -- founding member of Lashkar-e-Toiba Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, Hamad Amin and Zarar Shah -- who are believed to be the key planners of last November's Mumbai attacks.

As India continues to watch the legal proceedings against these men closely, the Pakistan foreign office has said India should not doubt their commitment to the 26/11probe and that there will be no delay from Pakistan's side.
