A small plane has crashed killing six people in eastern Quebec.
An Ambulance technician, Benoit Leblanc, said Tuesday six people have died. He said a seventh person has suffered cardiac problems.
The plane was a Mitsubishi turboprop and is believed to have belonged to a private company.
The plane appears to have crashed short of a runway in the Iles-de-la-Madeleine just off eastern Quebec. The cause is not immediately known.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is deploying a team of investigators.
