Riyadh:
An 82-year-old Indian pilgrim, who arrived in Saudi Arabia four months ago for Umrah pilgrimage, has gone missing, a media report said on Sunday.
Mohammed Rashid Mustafa, who hails from India's southern state Kerala, went missing from the premises of the Grand Mosque in Mecca last week, Arab News reported.
The octogenarian had come to the Gulf nation with an Umrah pilgrimage group April 27.
"He returned to the hotel room after performing Umrah. He eventually went outside to have tea, but did not come back. He was wearing a white dhoti and a shirt and had not taken his identity card and specs," the report quoted a relative of Mustafa as saying.
Mustafa's relatives and friends launched a massive search for him in Mecca's hospitals and other places but could not find him till Saturday.
They have informed the police about his disappearance.
Umrah is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca that can be made at any time of the year.
