Fort Myers, Florida:
A friend of a Florida teenager attacked by an alligator called 911 for help while yelling at the 17-year-old to get out of the water.
In a 911 call released on Wednesday, one of Kaleb Langdale's friends told the dispatcher that "a gator just got my friend" and the teen's arm wasn't attached. The caller also yells at Langdale to get out of the Caloosahatchee River. (Audio here - courtesy news-press.com)
Langdale was swimming on Monday in the Glades County river when an alligator bit off his right arm below the elbow. He was hospitalized in good condition, though doctors couldn't reattach his arm.
His aunt, LaDawn Hayes, tells the News-Press that Langdale had surgery on Wednesday to remove dead tissue from the injured arm.
The teen's family is seeking donations to help with his medical expenses.
