Kabul:
Afghan police have released footage taken in the immediate aftermath of last week's attack on the Inter-Continental Hotel in Kabul.
20 people were killed in last Tuesday's siege, including nine attackers, all of whom wore suicide-bomber vests.
The video released on Monday showed police standing over the body of one of the attackers, lying on the floor of a hotel bedroom.
Further footage showed the full extent of the damage caused to the hotel interior and pool-side dining area.
The brazen attack by militants with explosives, anti-aircraft weapons, guns and grenade launchers dampened hopes that a peace settlement can be reached with the Taliban and raised doubts that Afghan security forces are ready to take the lead from foreign forces in the nearly decade-long war.
