After France, now strike in Belgium

London: Workers in France have been on an indefinite strike for the last four days protesting President Sarkozy's pension reforms.

Strikes at all of the 12 oil refineries across France is causing reported fuel shortages.

In Marseille, schools, trains, public transport and local garbage collection services have all been hit.

Thousands of Eurostar passengers have had to change their travel plans because of Belgium rail workers going on strike.

Eurostar said no trains would operate from London to Brussels during the 24-hour strike.  All stations are expected to be closed across Belgium on Monday.
