Allahabad:
Passengers on board an Air India flight that arrived in Allahabad from New Delhi today had a close shave when one of the plane's tyres burst while it was taxiing on the tarmac, an airport official said.
"The incident took place this evening when the Air India flight from Delhi was taxiing after having made a safe landing," said Jamil Khaliq, in-charge of the Allahabad airport.
Allahabad airport is situated at Bamrauli, at a distance of about 12-km from the city.
"There was no injury caused to any of the passengers or to the crew members. Neither was there any significant damage to the aircraft," he added.
