Akshay's Winter Olympics torch run interrupted by protesters

Toronto: As the Winter Olympics torch relay got underway in Toronto, protestors disrupted it and Akshay Kumar, who was a torchbearer, had to cut short his run.

Protesters filled the streets shouting, "No Olympics on stolen native land" until they reached a barricade of officers with bicycles.

Dozens of officers with batons blocked the street behind the demonstration.

Delayed by nearly an hour, the Olympic flame was eventually diverted west as it continued toward its final destination.
