Henderson, Nevada: President Barack Obama says he wants a Democrat to win the White House in 2016 and is pledging to do everything possible to help that nominee succeed.
At the same time, Obama says the public wants that "new car smell" when it comes to the next presidential campaign.
In an interview broadcast Sunday on ABC's "This Week," Obama says: "They want to drive something off the lot that doesn't have as much mileage as me."
He says Hillary Rodham Clinton, his former secretary of state, and a number of other potential Democratic candidates would make great presidents, but he didn't name other names.
Obama acknowledged that Clinton won't agree with him on everything.
Clinton has said she'll decide whether to run early next year.
