Melbourne:

There has been yet another attack in Melbourne -- the 10th in Australia. But was it a race crime?

The attack too place in an Indian neighbourhood. But one of the victims says it may have been a random crime. "I cannot say that this is a direct racist attack but the Australian government has to do something. Many Indians live in my compound and nothing like this has happened before," he says.

A few hours later, Indian students were on the streets of Sydney united against the Australian government.

They had support from Australian students who distributed anti-racist badges and pamphlets. They too blamed the Australian government.

And in India, a group of protestors staged a demonstration in Ludhiana to condemn the attacks on Indian students in Australia.

The protestors holding placards raised slogans against the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and burnt his effigy.

They demanded the Indian government to send a high level delegation to Australia with an aim to put an end to the racial attacks on the Indian students and infuse confidence among them.
