Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer has called general elections that he hopes will give his party a third consecutive term in power in Antigua & Barbuda.
The June 12 parliamentary elections will pit Spencer's United Progressive Party against the Caribbean nation's main opposition group, the Antigua Labor Party led by Gaston Browne.
The two main political parties and a handful of smaller factions will be vying for the 17 seats in Parliament.
Nearly 50,000 people are registered to vote in Antigua & Barbuda, which has a population of roughly 90,000.
