Batman shooting: Barack Obama to visit town where tragedy struck
Washington: President Barack Obama will Sunday visit the Colorado city of Aurora where 12 people were shot dead and dozens wounded during a screening of the new Batman film, the White House said.

Obama will "visit with families of victims of the shooting as well as local officials" before heading to San Francisco, according to an updated official schedule.

It said the president would arrive at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora at 3:40 pm (2140 GMT) and leave at 6:05 pm (0005 GMT Monday). No further details of the trip were provided.

Obama had dropped a planned re-election campaign event in Fort Myers, Florida on Friday, speaking there instead about the shooting spree that was "beyond reason."

He is scheduled to make a campaign trip Monday through Wednesday in the states of Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and Louisiana.
