Gaza City: The body of the three-year-old daughter of Hamas's military commander was pulled Thursday from the ruins of a building hit two days ago, killing her mother and brother, a medic said.
Emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra identified the girl as Sara, daughter of Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades commander Mohammed Deif.
The six-storey building in central Gaza City was totally destroyed when several Israeli missiles slammed into it late on Tuesday.
But the Brigades said Deif had escaped the attack, the sixth Israeli assassination attempt in his decades' long career.
Deif's second wife, 27-year-old Widad and seven-month-old son Ali were buried in the Jabaliya refugee camp on Wednesday to the chants of revenge from several thousand furious mourners.
