A drunken woman secretary, who hurled racist abuse at fellow Tube travellers in a tirade that was viewed by thousands of internet users across the world after being uploaded by a Sikh, was today jailed for 21 weeks.
Jacqueline Woodhouse launched an expletive-laden racist rant at passengers on the Central line.
A seven-minute video of the incident that happened on January 23, was uploaded on YouTube and viewed more than 200,000 times.
It was captured by Galbant Singh Juttla who was making his way home from a funeral at the time.
He became distressed by Ms Woodhouse racially abusing a black woman who had bumped into her accidentally, the
Daily Mail reported.
Today at Westminster Magistrates' Court in central London, district judge Michael Snow sentenced her to 21 weeks behind bars - but she will be eligible for release in just over 10 weeks, the report added.
He also imposed a five year anti-social behaviour order which prevents her from travelling on the London Underground or DLR (Docklands Light Railway) while drunk.
Condemning her showdown, he said: "Anyone viewing it would feel a deep sense of shame that our citizens could be subject to such behaviour who may, as a consequence, believe that it secretly represents the views of other white people".
Ms Woodhouse, of Romford in Essex, admitted causing harassment alarm and distress to Mr Juttla.
