Toronto: A candle light vigil was held in the memory of an Indo-Canadian teenager who was killed in a road accident in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
Kevin Dhillon, 17, was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle was struck by a Honda Accord while taking a left turn at the intersection of 96 Avenue and 123A Street in Surrey, a city in the province, CBCnews reported on Wednesday.
He was taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Police said the driver abandoned the vehicle after crossing a block and fled on foot.
The driver is still untraced and on the run.
Relatives and neighbours mourned the death of the young man at Surrey's Holland Park on Wednesday night.
