Beijing:
A man was caught on camera thrashing a woman in Beijing while trying to mug her.
The man saw the woman walking alone in the dark and tried to snatch her handbag.
Luckily, her cries were heard by two cops who rushed to her rescue.
"He kicked and dragged her, and our soldiers saw and shouted at him to stop, but he carried on beating her," said one of the officers.
According to the policeman, they first thought the two were friends until the man began to beat the woman heavily and the woman shouted "robbery".
The cops caught the man as he was trying to run away. He has been sent to police custody and the case is under investigation.
