Chemical blast kills six at internet cafe in China
Beijing: An explosion caused by stored chemicals has killed six people and injured 37 at an internet cafe in southwest China.

The Kaili city government in Guizhou province said in a statement that the blast occurred at a cafe under a bridge late on Saturday. Eleven of those hurt were seriously injured.

The official Xinhua News Agency says the explosion was so powerful it shattered the windows of nearby residential buildings.

A human rights group says industrial chemicals stored in the cafe caused the blast. The fax from the Hong Kong-based Information Center for Human Rights and Democracy cites a police source for that information.
