Beijing:
Ali Shakorian, from Sweden, feels the most interesting job in the world is that of a panda keeper and 62,000 other people agree. They've all been competing to prove they can look after pandas. 12 have been selected for training at the panda base in southwest China and six lucky finalists will go forward to the next stage.
However, a panda keeper's job isn't all cute and fluffy.
A giant panda produces 10 to 20 kilos of excrement everyday and finalists are asked to clean them just like the real keepers do.
Feeding a panda is the most enjoyable part for the finalists.
"I wish I could do this all the time. Really it's so amazing to be with the pandas, such delicate creatures. They give you so much love back when you feed them," said Ali Shakorian, a prospective panda ambassador.
Pandas spend 14 hours a day eating and can eat 50 kilos of bamboo. The bamboo must be washed by finalists so it looks fresh and then planted into the ground to convince the pandas that it's growing wild.
Six pandas have been selected to be cared for by the six winners, including one year-old Qi Qi.
