Beijing:
A shopping mall in the Chinese capital was temporarily shut down following a bomb hoax call.
A mall in the north of rural Beijing was shut down due to a bomb hoax this morning, state-run China Radio International reported.
Police searched the mall and found no explosives, the report said.
A unit of multinational chain Carrefour was also shut down after receiving a threatening email. The sender of the email said a bomb had been planted in the supermarket, it said.
Chinese airlines received such hoax calls but this is the first time that a shopping mall was shut down for a hoax call.
