New Delhi: China has for the first time unveiled a model of what would be China's mission to Mars. Called Yinghuo-2, it is likely to be launched in 2020 and will have an orbiter and a lander.

China's maiden effort to head to the Red Planet in 2011, piggybacking on a Russian mission, did not leave Earth's atmosphere as it crashed soon after launch.

India launched its maiden mission to Mars called Mangalyaan almost two years ago on November 5, 2013. Mangalyaan is healthy and working well in the Martian orbit.
