Jiangxi Province, China:
Villagers in Wuyuan County, in central China's Jiangxi Province, joined emergency workers to rescue a boy trapped in a temporary bridge on a construction site on Monday.
The makeshift bridge was welded with steel girders and the boy's right leg slipped into a gap between the rails, just a palm's width apart.
The boy's father held the boy on the bridge and called local firefighters and villagers for help.
The rescuers managed to expand the two rails which trapped the boy's leg, as helpers used what looked like an ordinary car jack to lever them apart.
The emergency services brought in specialist equipment and after an hour-long ordeal the boy was freed, with just a few small bruises.
