A Chinese plane on Monday was forced to make an emergency landing at an airport in east China after a fire alarm went off mistakenly.
The flight from Shanghai to Beijing was forced to land at the airport in Jinan in Shandong province after a fire alarm on board went off due to error, Xinhua news agency reported.
The incident took place as multinational teams launched major search operations to locate the missing Malaysian flight with 239 passengers.
