The holiday season is here and Christmas celebrations mark the beginning of the festive period. Christmas also offers the perfect backdrop to have fun at the workplace. While the practice of Secret Santa – where employees anonymously treat one another to gifts – has become synonymous with the celebrations in offices, there is a lot more you can do to make your workplace party a success. To help you with this, we have curated a list of five such games that you can easily play with your colleagues, this year.
1) Guess The Goodies
Christmas is all about gifting. In this game, a stocking is stuffed with a variety of goodies and tied up. Employees are then asked to guess by just feeling the items stuffed inside the stocking. After all the participants reveal their answers, the person with the most number of right guesses is given the stocking filled with gifts.
2) Guess Who
In this game, divide the office into two teams. The organiser then picks one item from the desk of each employee and asks a team which member of the other team owns it. This not only tests how well employees know each other but also proves just how good their observation skills are. The team that manages to successfully match more items with the right owners will be declared the winner.
3) Pictionary
Give the classic drawing game of Pictionary a touch of Christmas by adding famous Christmas carols and holiday movies to the list.
4) The Food Game
No celebration is complete without food. So use the office Christmas party as the perfect setting to organize a potluck. Turn the potluck into a blind tasting competition where employees are asked to taste and guess the dish. The one with the most correct guesses can be given a prize.
5) Christmas Charades
You can never go wrong with charades. Give your regular charades a Christmas spin by adding terms, movies, and songs that are specific to the festival.
No matter what the game, the aim is to let your hair down and have fun. Merry Christmas!
