It is after almost 90 years that a US President will be visiting Cuba.
Cuba's government today hailed US President Barack Obama's planned visit to the island next month as a new step towards mending relations between long -time foes Havana and Washington.
"His visit will represent a step forward in the improvement of relations between Cuba and the United States," Josefina Vidal, head of US relations in the Cuban foreign ministry, told reporters.
