Manila:
A dead male foetus was found in the toilet of an aeroplane that arrived in the Philippines from Abu Dhabi, a police report said Tuesday.
The 5 to 6-month-old foetus was discovered by a cleaner on the Etihad Airways plane after it landed at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport Monday, the report said.
Police investigators were quoted as saying they had not yet identified the mother, who could face criminal charges if she deliberately terminated her pregnancy.
There are hundreds of thousands of Filipinos working in Abu Dhabi.
In September, airport personnel recovered a baby boy in the trash can of another plane from Abu Dhabi after his Philippine mother abandoned him after giving birth during the flight.
