Toronto:
Indian origin MP Ruby Dhalla may be facing allegations of labour mistreatment, but the 35-year-old Liberal's good looks have won her a place in Hello magazine's list of '50 Most Beautiful Canadians'.
Dhalla who was born to an immigrant Sikh family in Canada is on the list which also features 'Water' actress Lisa Ray.
The embattled MP is currently facing allegations of mistreating her nannies and has taken a serious blow to her reputation as the representative of the multi-cultural country's migrant population.
But Dhalla had refuted the allegations as "false and unsubstantiated."
"I, like many others, am trying to wonder why these caregivers have come forward 15 months later after leaving our home on what I thought was good terms," Dhalla had told the standing committee for citizenship and immigration in Ottawa.
Last year, Dhalla was named the world's third-sexiest female politician by men's magazine 'Maxim' which lauded her ability to "court the all-important woman, immigrant and horny-male vote."
The two women who finished ahead of the Brampton MP were Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Italy's Mara Carfagna.
Dhalla was also at the centre of another controversy last year, when a movie 'Kyon Kis Liye' allegedly featuring the former beauty queen in some 'intimate' scenes was released.
Dhalla had denied the allegations saying that the scenes were doctored to malign her reputation.
