Los Angeles: Few days after opening up about his desire to enter politics, actor Will Smith says the kind of comments Republican party hopeful Donald Trump is making about Muslims may provoke him to run for President.
The 47-year-old "Focus" actor said that the offensive comments Mr Trump made about Mexican and now Muslims are crazy, reported a US magazine.
"If people keep saying all the crazy kind of stuff they've been saying on the news, lately, about walls and Muslims they are going to force me into the political arena," Mr Smith said. The "Independence Day" actor also added that he always dreamt of doing things beyond Hollywood.
"I realised that there was no way that I was put here just to be a movie star. I tell my kids, 'Be as unrealistic as possible, and then figure out how to make it real'," he added.
"'The best things that have ever happened ever were unrealistic before they happened. You know, so for me, I think being the biggest movie star in the world as a goal actually was too small," he said.
Not only Mr Smith, but many other celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga, JK Rowling, Matt Damon, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough and George Takei called out on Mr Trump following his statements.
