Dozens killed in double suicide attack near Damascus: NGO

Beirut: Dozens of people were killed in a double suicide attack on a military security branch in Harasta, just northeast of the capital Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Tuesday.

"Dozens of people were killed in two suicide attacks against the air force intelligence branch in Harasta" late on Monday, Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman said.

"The fate of hundreds of prisoners being held in the basements of the buildings is still unknown," he added.
