Beijing:
A sand mining barge capsized in the rough seas off China's Northeastern coast on Wednesday morning.
Rescuers flew to the scene via helicopter and found three survivors who had scrambled onto the hull of the overturned ship and were huddled together waiting to be rescued. A daring rescue mission was undertaken to help these survivors.
A rescuer hanging from a cable attached to the helicopter moved down towards the ship.
When he landed on the vessel he strapped one of the men to be pulled up to safety towards the helicopter overhead.
The process was repeated till all the three men were rescued.
Though, the survivors are suffering from hypothermia after exposure to the cold waters, they are expected to make a full recovery.
Eleven sailors are still missing in the rough seas.
Search teams continue to look for them, but have reported no sightings so far.
