Laguna Beach (California):
Laguna Beach police have said that a man arrested on suspicion of drunken driving ran into a patrol car, then smashed into a pole and an air-and-water dispenser at a gas station - after he was pulled over.
Sgt. George Ramos told the Orange County Register on Monday that Christian Aparicio pulled into the gas station after an officer pulled him over on Saturday night.
Ramos said Aparicio stepped out of the car with it still in reverse, and it smashed into the front of the police car.
He then jumped back into the car and put it in drive. The car sped forward and hit a pole, then plowed into an air-and-water dispenser, causing a water line rupture.
No one was hurt.
