Dubai simplifies trade licensing ways

Dubai: Dubai government has simplified trade licensing procedures to create an investor-friendly environment in the city.

The Business Registration and Licensing Division at Department of Economic Development (DED) has terminated the use of smart chip in administering trade licences, banking collaterals, advertisement permits and bank deposit certificates so that customers can set up businesses here with minimum paperwork, CEO of the division Mohammed Shael said.

"The division is constantly looking for ways to ease trade licensing procedures," Shael said.

"Our strategic objective is to create an investor-friendly environment in Dubai which will encourage investors to consider the city as their investment destination of choice," Director General of DED Sami Al Qamzi said.

"We have therefore simplified several licensing procedures to further ease the process of setting up businesses here," Qamzi said.
