Exceptional private sector educators in Dubai can apply for Golden Visas starting October 15.

Dubai is set to honour exceptional private educators with Golden Visas, allowing them to play a major role in the Emirate's educational development without requiring a local sponsor. This initiative was announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

In a message on X, Sheikh Hamdan stressed the significance of teachers in shaping the future. He wrote, “On World Teachers' Day, we issued directives to grant the Golden Visa to educators who have made outstanding contributions to Dubai's private education sector. We deeply appreciate your efforts in nurturing young minds and instilling the values that will build tomorrow's leaders. You are key partners in shaping Dubai's future and in achieving the visionary goals of the Education Strategy E33.”

Exceptional teachers working at private schools, international higher education institutions and early care centres would be granted long-term residency visas, stated a report in the Khaleej Times. This accolade acknowledges their academic achievements, contributions to enhancing educational quality, positive evaluations from peers and their dedication to improving student performance and accredited qualifications.

Another report in Khaleej Times said that following directives from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), schools in Dubai started forming internal committees to evaluate the requirements for teachers' Golden Visa applications. They have also been told to ensure all requirements are fulfilled before sending separate applications to KHDA using the e-Services system.
