Amsterdam: Dutch police, on alert for a security threat to Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, on Monday detained a confused man who yelled "Bomb!" on a bus, but found no evidence of a serious threat, a spokeswoman said.
Police have been conducting vehicle searches near the airport, one of Europe's largest, since last week after receiving intelligence about a possible threat.
The man, who took off his clothes, was held at gunpoint by the side of the highway while the bus was searched. The incident brought traffic on one of the Netherlands' main highways to a standstill.
After attacks by Islamist militants in France, Belgium and Germany, the Netherlands is considered a potential target, because it supports US-led military operations against the ISIS militia in the Middle East.
