The Edison Town Council today passeda unanimous resolution to recognise and honour the Indian Business Association(IBA) for its service to the community.
"The IBA is credited for revitalisingOak Tree Road and for hosting a majestic India Day Parade since 2004,"said Edison town Councilman Diehl.
Edison is the fifth largestmunicipality in New Jersey and 17 per cent of its population is of Indiandescent.
"We are tremendously honouredby this act. For the past 15 years we are proud to call Edison our home, and wewill always continue to do so," said IBA President Manher Shah as heaccepted the resolution from Edison town Councilman Dr. Prasad.
Councilwoman and mayoral candidateRicigliano congratulated the IBA for its accomplishments too.
Started in 1991, the IBA is anonprofit organization that coordinates the annual India Day Parade with over100 New Jersey based Indian Associations.
