Extreme weather conditions across Europe and some parts of America have disrupted normal life. This is being seen as a result of climate change.
Below freezing temperatures and snow caused traffic and train delays in Poland and Germany.
Slippery roads led to numerous accidents with casualties in parts of Germany overnight on Friday to Saturday.
In the Bremen region, numerous accidents occurred during the rush hour. The weather service Meteo media reported a temperature of -33.6 degrees Celsius around the Bavarian Funtensee lake.
Severe weather conditions in central and southern Poland also caused problems for a third day.
France was no different, where the Eurostar train was stranded on return from Paris near Ebbsfleet in Kent due to extreme weather conditions. Passengers said there was no heating and lighting, and food had run out.
Earlier, five trains were stuck in the tunnel trapping more than 2,000 people for up to 16 hours.
