Ex-pro wrestler nabs suspected thief

Northglenn: A suspected thief ended up in the wrong hands of Buster, a former pro wrestler.

According to Buster, he heard the thief rustling about in the middle of the night, " He pulled open the glove box and emptied everything out and put it on the ground."

That was enough for Buster. He ran out without a shirt or shoes, in just a pair of sweats and started chasing the guy two houses up the street.

Describing the chase, Buster says, "He kicked at me so I grabbed him... took him down to the ground and dragged him out into the street... and kept him pinned until the Northglenn police department showed up."

Buster was successful in catching the thief, but police say these moves are not for everyone. They say one should be careful, because in earlier cases people have been shot at while trying to confront criminals breaking into cars.

As for the suspected thief, 19 year-old Robert Haverfield is in custody, and may be part of a larger ring of thieves.
