A car bomb killed at least two people and wounded three today when it exploded in northeast Lebanon in an area close to the Syrian border.

The death toll from a car bomb blast in northeast Lebanon near the Syrian border today has risen to nine, with four other people wounded, security sources said.
The blast went off in a commercial area of the Sabil neighbourhood of the town of Arsal. The initial death toll was two people.
